Qingqing He is a joint Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on bioinspired additive manufacturing, developing multifunctional hybrid materials and 3D-printed biomedical devices that integrate mechanical strength, sensing, and sustainability. She has published 15 peer-reviewed papers, including eight as first or corresponding author, with highlights such as recyclable piezoelectric composites, programmable hydrogel-crystal materials for soft robotics, and conformal ultrasound arrays for personalized retinal stimulation. Recognized as a Rising Star in Mechanical Engineering by MIT, she is passionate about teaching and mentorship, actively promoting diversity through programs such as MESA, COIL, and STEM Pathways.
